My husband has 2 boys from a previous relationship. One of which is his biological child and the other he just raised since the age of 1. They are 2 years apart , the younger one (6yo) is his and the older ones biological father has been in prison his entire life so far.

Fast forward to now.

My husband and I have a child together. He pays his ex child support for the one child that is his. She can't get him for child support for the other child because of course he's not biologically his. She has been trying to get my husband to legally adopt her son, which I believe is only for child support reasons. He has in the past given her money to help support the child that is not his.

Mind you, the boy is 8 years old, and thinks my husband is his father. They both have not told him who his real dad is. Which I don't agree with. (My opinion)

Anyways, do you think it's wrong of me to feel like he shouldn't be supporting that child? Like I said , him and I have a child together and he pays almost $600 a month for the one child in child support. We struggle with money as it is, we live pay check to paycheck and I feel it's taking away from our child. Am I wrong?

Also, his ex is greedy..she's constantly taking him to court trying to get more money out of him. She doesn't do right by the money she get from him as it is. When the boys are here ,they're dressed in rags, holes in their sneakers. We end up going out buying them new stuff because she doesn't care for them properly. She sends them filthy , not showered nails dirty and not cut dirty ears . He gives them haircuts and cleans them up before sending them back and we keep record of this , we take pictures and keep proof of the way she cares for them. Just to back us up if anything.
