is there a scientific explanation to why babies go crazy in the late evening?

My daughter cries NON STOP everyday between 7 pm & 10pm. She cries until she turns purple and runs out of air. It's quite scary to be honest, nothing soothes her... only if I put her on the breast. I've read that's normal but why? Is she in some kind of pain?

When they do that, blow in their face - it forces them to take a breath. My LO used to make herself pass out doing that. What a goon. Don't have an answer to your question, but am totally living with it :)

Cluster feeding! My little girl used to cry and scream in the evenings and I started feeding her more in the evenings. She was more happy x

My son does this and it's colic, if a baby cries at the same time everyday it's colic🙁

My son is 11 weeks old and does the same thing. He naps well and usually sleeps great at night so I dont think he's tired. I just refer to it as "the witching hours" 😂😭

Hey for me that "witching hour" stopped around 4.5 weeks and from most of my friends they say anywhere from 4-6 weeks it stopped for them as well!
