Move in together?

How long do you think a couple should be together before moving in together?

March 9, 2016 → "Dating"
April 3, 2016 → He moved in with my family and I
July 25, 2016 → Engaged 
August 22, 2016 → Married 
 
There's no time frame to follow. We prayed before making any decisions because we refused to do something that's not blessed.

I moved in with my bf about 3 months after we got together and it's been awesome, we've been together a year now and we've never regretted me moving in that early!

I don't think there's a general time frame. It's all on each couple individually. Some move in within a year, others date for years and wait until marriage. There's no right or wrong way, as long as you both agree and are comfortable with your decision.

My boyfriend and I basically lived together from the get go. I lived with my mom and he has just moved back to the area and was back living  with his parents. He stayed at my house nearly every night and I stayed at his here and there, but we spent nearly every night together either way. We got our own place about two years after being together.

We were long distance for 9 months before moving in together. It was a big change but it started getting to hard to be away.

I think it's important to at least wait some time before moving in. I don't think there is a specific time as it depends on the couple and age. I waited a year and a half before moving in with mine. But that was really just based off opportunity as we're both in college and when we transferred from our military junior college to a bigger university, we just decided to put each other on the roommate application. My best friend pretty much moved in with her boyfriend after the first date as she wasn't working much and spent most of her time with him anyway and they had been talking as friends for a month before they started dating. She didn't officially move in for like the first month but she had "sleepovers" nearly every night. I think it was a big mistake on her part because he ended up being a giant asshole but she just bonded to him and started relying on him right off the bat and now she's over 2.5 years in and doesn't want to leave because she has no way to survive on her own because she didn't finish high school, can't hold down a job because of poor work ethic, and is tied to him and his mother financially and every time she even tries to stand up for herself around them, they immediately threaten to cut her off the car insurance, phone bill, etc. it's horrible and she pretty much has a boyfriend who openly cheats on her, emotionally abuses her, and walks all over her and she can't do anything about it because she doesn't know how to survive without him. I'd say it's ok to move in with someone as long as you can support yourself and you at least have known them for 6 months.
