irregular period

I'm usually on time but this last cycle has been so strange. First it was 9 days late. Then it was 6 days of heavy bleeding which is unusual for me. And now its been 2-3 of spotting but then randomly theres clots about the size of a button.  Should I be worried? I also had an IUD placed 2 days before I started bleeding.
