I was scheduled to be induced at 40 weeks & 6 days

I was scheduled to be induced at 40 weeks & 6 days. My doctor's nurse called me last night & said that the doctor didn't realize he had 2 c sections scheduled that day. She gave me the option of waiting until later in the week, or coming in that night. Of course I chose to go in that night, even though it wasn't the hospital I had planned on going to. I was checked when I arrived at the hospital & was 1cm & my cervix was still thick. A couple hours later they inserted the Cervadil to help my cervix soften. The Cervadil was left in for 12 hours. Towards the end, I had began feeling some serious contractions that got worse over time. I was checked & was 4cm and soft. My contractions started to be unbearable as they tried to decide if I'd need Pitocin. My nurse offered an epidural which I GLADLY accepted at that point! The epidural was heavenly! I couldn't feel my contractions at all anymore. My nurse checked me about 1/2 hour later and I was 7cm and she said the baby was right there. I pushed once & she called the doctor & delivery team. Once the doctor came in I pushed one more time and she was here! They were all amazed at how easily she came out & I was so glad to finally have my baby girl in my arms! Definitely wasn't as planned but I wouldn't have it any other way! 💕
