I need some advice. My husband and I signed a lease that has no terms and no end date. Both spots on the lease are blank.  We never agreed on a year lease. We were under the understanding that it was a month to month lease and that we could move out if we gave a 30 day notice. Well we just gave our notice yesterday and are supposed to sign a new lease this afternoon and now our landlord is trying to say we have a year lease. I'm so upset! We had agreed on a month to month lease because I'm in school and we didn't know where we would be in a year. What do we do? Sign the new lease? I don't think the landlord will take us to court, she is just the private owner of the Townhome, not an agent or anything. Plus, the lease is blank for end date and terms. I don't want to cause any problems but we need a bigger place with the baby on the way. I'm just sick to my stomach and so stressed out!
