how much is too much?!

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have been craving milk bad. But the funny thing is I hated milk all my life. How much milk is too much during pregnancy?

Milk is good for you! I wouldn't worry about it drink it up.. I love it more than usual pregnant too.

I would think you'd only need to be concerned if you or baby are gaining too quickly or for sure if you have gd. The issue with milk is the sugar content. Every cup is like 3 teaspoons of sugar. Sugar can cause issues in pregnancy. We drink a cup with meals, but we get our calcium in other ways throughout the day. I love milk, but due to the sugar/carbs I just really limit myself.

Milk slows your metabolism and is full of fat so I would try almond milk or something a little healthier if you feel like you need it all the time. I had the same craving at the end of my last pregnancy and I swear that's why I gained so much at the end. Still only gained 25lbs overall but most of it was at the end lol

I agree with everyone milk is good for you but there is such a thing as too much as its fatty. My friend is on the verge of gestational diabetes and they told her she needs to stop with the milk. Shes been drinking a ton due to heartburn.

Milk is good for you!(: I don't think there's to much milk! Before I got pregnant I couldn't drink milk because Im lactose, so I would always but the $5 stuff but I didn't drink it very often.  Now I go through a gallon in a week and a half.  I love milk now too (: milk is good for you and the baby!
