time between implantation bleeding and positive test?

Hi all, I have had what I think is a bit of brownish implantation spotting 10-11DPO yesterday Oct 2 that lightened up really quickly. For those that experienced spotting like this and ended up being pregnant, how many days did it take before you tested positive? My period has been a little bit irregular but I think it's due Oct 6? Maybe Oct 7 or 8?. I know I should wait to test until at least Oct 6 as negative tests are such a bummer.... But this two week waiting is tough!
