Yellow discharge in one of my eyes - is this normal?

So I'm 25+3 pregnant and had no problems with my eyes at all but this morning I woke up and my eyes were blurry and I could feel something was in them so I kept rubbing my right eye and eventually had to get out of bed to check it out it was annoying me that much!!

Anyway, I noticed a slight bit of yellow discharge in my tear duct area so I got a warm cotton bud and wiped it once in one direction to get rid of the bits I could see and washed my hands before touching the other eye to clean out just incase whatever it is spreads.

Is this normal ? A one of thing ?

I was going to consult a doctor but with it being Monday all the appointments have gone so I can't see anyone!
