First time clomid user, help!!

Hi ladies,

So i have pcos and am on metformin and thyroxine which has somewhat regulated my periods as they were very very irregullar. My question is my gyno has given me clomid to take CD 2-6, expecting it to be on time by today, af is not here but thats not unusal for me. She told me to take clomid when i should be due even if af doesnt show? Does this sound right? How will i know um taking it the right days?

Any help would be appreciated. Supose to start tommorrow technically.
