Does it sound like I'm pregnant?

My period is 1 day late. However, it feels like I'm on my period, but no blood is present. I have fairly amount of cramps off and on & a little nausea. Usually when I'm on my period I have bad nausea. I took a pregnancy test & it was negative. I will test again on Wednesday. But, for now does this sound like pregnancy? Can I trust a negative hot 1 day after a missed period?
