Newborn eye prob?

My baby has his eyes glued shut by discharge the crusts up. His eye seems a tad bit swollen. Is this normal?

More than 50% of babies don't have both tear ducts open when they are born. Warm wet wash cloth to open the eyes. And do some very gentle massage over the rear duct to help them open up. If that doesn't clear it up talk to the pediatrician.

My daughter had wet eye for about week so I researched and found out its normal for very young babies to have water eye or sticky eye as their tear holes are not developed but my daughter was 3months and hear tear hole seemed to be blocked so I found out that I have to clean her eye with breast milk and have to massage where tear hole is so it gets unblocked , helped withing 3 days

Could be conjunctivitis... keep clean with Cotton wool and water while from inside outwards do not use same bit twice as very contagious... maybe get seen by doc x
