Abnormal pap smear

I went to my gym last week and got a routine pap smear. They called today to give me the results and said that it came back abnormal. After googling what could be the cause of it, I've found that I could have HPV or cervical cancer. I know Google is not the most accurate place to get information from but I'm really worried. I go back in 2 weeks for a colposcopy. Has anybody else had an abnormal pap smear?
