misdiagnosed miscarriage??

Question

So, we are supposed to be 9w4d today. We went in for our first appt and they did a transvaginal ultra sound. There was no heartbeat. 
My question is, could this be a misdiagnosis? 
Should we get a second opinion?

I'm devastated. We lost our baby boy last year at 13 weeks. I am having a hard time believing this.

The doctor told us to come back in two days for another ultrasound. So, this is where my doubt comes in.

We went in this afternoon for a second opinion from my former OB (from lasts years MC). And she said the same thing as the doctor from yesterday. The baby & sac looked different today than yesterday.  It measured smaller than yesterday by 1 day. 6w1d instead of 6w2d).

She did not think a D&C was a good idea (the dr yesterday did). Who wants to go through surgery?
Since I was starting to bleed and cramping last night  she suggested doing it at home.

I've taken the rest of the week off work. 
I've got 3 prescriptions. 
1. Percocet for pain. 
2. Mifepristone (taken at the Dr. office & it was expensive). 
3. Misoprostol (3 pills to take on Friday).

In 2 weeks we will have a follow up. Then my husband and I will both be genetically tested before we attempt to conceive. 
I hope to be back on this board again one day. I'd love nothing more than a rainbow baby in my arms.

Have them do a HCG blood test, if your numbers are going down then you are having a miscarriage. If the numbers increase then your not. That actually should have been what they did, if you miscarried before. God has the last word, tyhey just give the doctors the knowledge! 🙏🏾🙌🏾😇

Keep your faith and pray. My cousin had the same issue. The doctors even told her they wanted to do a dnc. She refused and went somewhere else and found out that there was a baby with a very strong heart beat. Her little girl is now 5 years old.

I had this happen in 2014. Was 9w1day. Baby measured exactly 9 weeks. But no heartbeat. Went to the hospital for another opinion that day and they didn't find the heartbeat either. I had to have a d&c as my body did not naturally pass the baby. Unfortunately, if there is no heartbeat at 9weeks, it's unlikely to be a viable pregnancy. But definitely go back for another ultrasound to make sure. I hope it does work out for you.

Your not alone. I'm 7weeks6days and the Doc can see a yoke sac yet no egg. I'm still having pregnacy symptoms HCG levels at 45,000. So I'm just trying not to stress and keep it in the hands of the Lord. Maybe they are just being shy. Praying for us both and out partners plus whoever else is going through a similar situation.

I would ask for blood work! Have them watch your hcg levels for a couple days.

Thank you so much ladies for your kind words, prayers and thoughts. I think after hearing those words again, "there is no heartbeat ❤️" I was in utter shock and denial. 
I started bleeding late last night with some minor cramping.

It's not looking good for us this time.

Don't worry your baby heartbeat can't fully be detected until at least a good ten to eleven weeks hun stay positive and think positive everything is going to be just fine
