am I ready for sex again?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over a year and I love him with my whole heart but we don't have sex. I can't even think about life without him but last night he said he doesn't want to wait until marriage and I think I do.
I've had sex before but have a crazy obsession about numbers and the fact that I feel like a whore (I've been with 5 people since I was 15, now 20, all boyfriends - but shit ones) but I haven't had sex since I was 18. Can anyone help me with this??? I don't want to go into double figures ever in my life and I'm scared to increase my number even higher. I need advice thank you X

Your number literally does not matter. At all. Ever. I don't even know why people keep track?

If you feel like having sex, have sex. As long as you're safe there's literally nothing wrong with having sex with 5, 10 or 20 people.

"Whore", "slut", "ho" - all meaningless words designed to make women feel shame for indulging their natural sexual desires, and it's crap.

Do you. Be safe. But do you. And don't ever feel shame or guilt for sharing your body with someone If that's what you wanted to do. If anyone judges you for it, they're clearly not the kind of person you need in your life.

If you have to ask, then you're not ready. Don't have sex just because he wants to. You're number isn't the issue here. What matters is whether or not you want to wait. If you do, then keep waiting. Let your SO know this and if they don't respect your decision then you should really think about where your relationship is going. If you don't want to wait, then go for it. Some people care about how high their number gets and that's fine. If you want to make sure the next person you have sex with is the one you spend the rest of your life with, then wait until marriage. There's nothing wrong with that and your SO should see that and respect you for it. Best of luck 💕

I think you should stop getting obsessed by the numbers, if that's the reason you don't want to have sex then have sex lol!! How many partners you have doesn't equate to your worth at all. Some are lucky in love, others are not. Also, any bf between the ages of 15-18 is unlikely to be in a frame of mind where they want to find the one anyway. However, if you want to wait for marriage then do, but I would suggest not to if the reason is self consciousness - no one is judging!

That is a tricky situation.  On one hand, your partner should respect your preferences,  on the other, relationships are a compromise with everything, including sex. Honestly your number means what it does to you, but if you find that you're obsessed with your number because your afraid of what people think,  that's a whole nother,  slut shaming story. I suggest really looking inward and deciding if you want to wait. And look hard, not just a little. If it's really, really,  important to you, then definitely wait, and if he doesn't respect that it,  it's not that he's a bad guy, but it probably wouldn't work out anyway. The only way to find out if you should wait or not is to ask yourself why you want to. Then take that answer and ask why,  and keep on asking yourself why until you get to the core.
