Extremely light AF first round of clomid

So this was my first cycle on clomid. It's day 29 now (unless this is my period). On Friday, cd 25, I started having very light spotting that continued till cd 28. Mostly it was brown mucus, then slightly red but never anything heavy. Today it was more of a dark red but still not heavy. I refilled my Rx of clomid but honestly don't know when to start this cycle. If my spotting was supposed to be day 1 then today would be day 5... ugh please help. I don't want to take it too late in my cycle. Last time I took it days 3-7. Should I just start tonight?
