Exclusively Pumping

My daughter was born with pretty high bilirubin levels and we had to supplement with formula to see some weight gain. Because of this, she never learned to latch on properly and we've been using a nipple shield for almost five weeks now. Will she ever latch? I've thought about pumping exclusively but am having problems with my milk supply. Can anyone offer some advice/guidance on transitioning to pumping, freezing, etc?
