Does he want a real relationship?

I have had a million fwb relationships. I've been dating someone for a couple of months, and it started out with regular dates, but as soon as we started having sex, it seemed that's all he wanted to do. He started saying that he preferred just hanging out at my apartment rather than going out on dates because he "wasn't comfortable with going out in public". Alarm bells started going off in my mind. But in the last couple of weeks, he has taken me out for my birthday, he's invited me to go on a double-date with a co-worker of his this weekend, and he invited me to his mother's place for Thanksgiving next week. Do you think it's possible that he wants a serious relationship with me? I am so used to fwb relationships, that I don't want to get my hopes up!!😬😬
