what do you ladies think of a private ultrasound place? would it be legit?

Hi girls- I am 6 weeks. I've had some cramping and it's freaking me out/ making me paranoid. I can't get into my OBGYN until Nov 3rd!!! I will be 10 weeks by then. There is a place by my house that does private ultrasounds at 8 weeks to see the heartbeat. Would you trust this? I'm just way too impatient to wait another month 😥

They may be able to see the heartbeat but if they see anything else wrong they won't be able to diagnose or treat it. I'd call your doctor and tell them you need to see them earlier.

Keep in mind it's normal to cramp in early pregnancy.

They definitely shouldn't have any problem finding the heartbeat at 8 weeks! If they advertise it, they should be fine. Most elective ultrasound places here won't even attempt anything before 14 weeks.

Get it done. You will be worried until you can re assured. And who wouldn't want to see their baby any chance they could get ?  I had lots of them done about 100$ scan. So worth it !:)

Call your obgyn to see if they have any cancellations for the day (call in the am) might be able to squeeze you in sooner

We did that to find out the ended at 15 weeks. It was only $65. We will probably do it again

Considering having an US wouldn't change the outcome I personally wouldn't pay for it out of pocket
