Dreading baby shower

Is anyone else not excited for their baby shower? I hate being the center of attention and am dreading it. I didn't want to open gifts in from in everyone but I don't want to be rude so I am doing it at the very end. I'm very thankful for everyone who is planning it and coming to celebrate but I can't help but feel like I wish it was just over already :( It's making me so anxious I can't even get excited about the gifts that have come in the mail. Any suggestions for how to cope ?
