ovulation and AF

I took my first clear blue ovulation test this month. Last Monday I saw my first flashing 😄, Tuesday I had the same flashing 😄 and on Wednesday I had my solid 😁. I was so excited, but exactly one week later ( the following Wednesday) AF decides to show up. My question, I thought you were supposed to have a two week wait, so is it normal to start your period one week after you ovulate??
