Picking names π³π³
So my SO's family think that because we're having identical twins that we should have their names start with the same letter or end in the same letters. His sister has fraternal twins and named them Carson & Capri. I think the opposite. They're already twins, I don't want them to be thought of as the other ones twin their whole lives. If they were different ages I would probably rhyme them like my sisters and I. ( Kathryn, Morgyn, Lauryn) but since they're twins I don't want to do that.
My SO loves the name Landon Oliver and I love Atticus James (AJ for short) and when we're alone we agree those are our top choices but when we told his mother she flipped out and said that Atticus was a stupid name and she'd probably never remember it. Then she said we should name the other baby something "normal" that starts with L. And my SO f*cking agreed with her and said he'd try to talk me out of it.
*BACKSTORY*
Earlier this year I was pregnant but lost it, and we had the name Atticus picked out and we were dead set on it and I really wanted to name one of the boys that because I like to believe that we got our baby back and that's what I wanted to name him (if it was a boy)
So now I feel like I should just change the other name to something "normal" so everyone would just stop nagging me about it. Am I being ridiculous about it? Like they're my babies and my SO says he likes the name when no one else is around.
I don't know what to do. What would you do in this situation? Yeah
