best perfume?

I need a long lasting perfume! I'm sick of spending money on perfumes that smell good for 5 minutes and then everyone and Me can't smell it the rest of the day. Any suggestions??

Eau du parfum will last a lot longer than eau du toilet/cologne, as the oil concentration is much higher. The highest is actually called perfume and is sold in tiny bottles, but I've never seen them outside of Europe.

If possible, try to find a brand that does their fragrance in-house (development, owns the actual fields) vs. contracting it out. Coty is a company based out of NY and you will be surprised at how many designers farm out their fragrance development to them. They smell pretty but lack staying power as they just don't use the absolutes as they're expensive ingredients.

For mid-point fragrance houses, take a look at Serge Luten, House of Creed, Juliette has a Gun (more modern scents but done by a young member of the Ricci family), and Guerlin.

This sounds snobby but there is a noticeable quality difference between fragrances made in France vs everywhere else in the world, simply due to the fact that they've dedicated an entire industry to it for a long time and the soil & climate in France is ideal for growing the ingredients needed. Fun trivia: there are 7 classical ways to extract the essence out of any ingredient for fragrance manufacturing 😊

I don't know if it's an old wise tale or not but I've been told it depends on the chemicals on your skin and in the perfume, before you buy you should spray some on your wrist go shopping and if 3 hours later you can still smell it that perfume matches well with you
