That could just be the picture. Trust your ultrasound tech. Or call your doctor if you have any worries.

It looks that way because in this image there is a posterior myometrial contraction. Totally normal and 20 minutes later it likely resolved and baby wouldn't look "squished" all is good mama if they said so.

There is lots more room when they are smaller, but it all depends on how many weeks the baby is as to how much "room" the ultrasound has per person. Also, every uterus is different :) Trust your doctors, but express your concerns completely.
