making friends is hard...

So for most of my life I have struggled with making friends. I am quite girly and outgoing really and having grew up with only brothers I get on with males better- And still it is only myself, my husband and son. I like intellectual conversations so I'm also a little weird. I don't like talking people down which I find a lot of females do, which makes me withdraw myself from some conversations. I can honestly say I haven't met someone I just 'clicked with' since school. I just don't understand why some girls don't like me 😞😞 ps I live in the U.K. Where a lot of meetup groups are limited..
