When to announce?

Hi everyone! I am 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I believe we conceived somewhere between Sep 19-25th. I still am confused as to when our baby would be at the 12 week mark, is it counting from the first day of your last period. Do most people announce to friend and family at 12 weeks?

Im am 4 weeks exactly. On thanks giving tou will be right around 11 weeks. We plann on telling family at thanksgiving

I'm 5 weeks today & pretty much everyone knows, although we wont do an official announcement until the 12-16 week mark. We have struggled with infertility & ttc for 2 years & nearly all of our friends & fam have been such a huge part of our journey that it was impossible not to share the good news. We've had a mc in the past, so everyone is aware of how touch & go it is for us right now, so for the time being, they cheering us on silently from the side lines. Congrats Mama!!

With my son we waited until we found out he was a boy at 21weeks(I know some people find out earlier though) but it's really up to you and what you feel comfortable with 😊 I'm 5-7 weeks right now not exactly sure but I won't find out anything until my appointment on Halloween. We announced to immediately family 4-7 weeks depending on when we saw them. Then we told close friends between week 8-10. We don't tell anyone else until week 12. You calculate from first day of your last period.

I think the reason people wait until 12 weeks is because that's usually when you have your first scan and everything is confirmed to be ok. So id base it on your scan date rather than telling people bang on 12 weeks.

I am 6 weeks and I told immediate family right away!! The more people praying for this little bean the better :) will tell everyone else the week of thanksgiving

Start counting from the first day of your last period. We are waiting till 14 weeks though since that is the official beginning of the first trimester. That will be mid December for you.
