Scared into labor? Anyone ? Opinions?

Can you be scared into labor? A bunch of police, Fire trucks, ambulances, had there sirens on to respond to something 4 houses down from me at 3:00am in the morning. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I was in a deep sleep I shot out of bed like a bullet standing stright up. I started having stomach cramps about 20 minutes after this. And alot of pressure down there and in my back. Is it possible to be scared into labor? I know it's silly but I'm cerious. I was scared to all heck when I shot out of bed.
