The Birth of Annalise

Peggy
My miracle baby arrived at 3:30 am on 10th October 2016.
My water broke in the morning of 9th October when I was repeating for my Mba thesis defense. Being eager to graduate and have my baby as well, I dressed up and headed to campus around 11 am. I couldn't defend until around 2:30 in the afternoon. The whole time I was having menstrual cramps but they were manageable. After the defense I headed to the hospital and was admitted though I was just 0.5  cm dilated. Around 9 pm, I was shouting all over due to immerse pain. The sad part is, living in Ghana, there was no epidural for me.
I got checked around 11 pm and I was 6 cm dilated. I got to 7 cm in less than an hour. Some  3 hours later, I was ready to push. Within 5 minutes and with just about 5 pushes, my first child Annalise was born. I got several tiny ditches and one 2 degree stitch. This is by far the most painful experience of my life. But it's all worth it. I love my little girl and am soo happy she is here after 7 years of trying. All I want to say is Thank you Lord.
