hard time falling asleep?

My lo will be 12 weeks on Friday and for about a week now he constantly wakes up in the middle of the night. Not cuz he's hungry but just because. I can't figure out what's going on. I put the binky back in his mouth and he falls asleep and then 10 minutes later the binky falls out and he's crying. I just started to stop swaddling him too so not sure if that has anything to do with it? Anyone else going thru this or have suggestions? One tired mama over here! So tired I let him sleep in our bed last night and he actually slept for a long time.. but I'd really rather he slept in his crib

I read that using a sleeping crutch like a paci can contribute to frequent waking up. When we sleep we sometimes emerge from the deep sleep to check on our surroundings (unconsciously) so if you fell asleep one way (in a certain room or with a paci in your mouth) and the surroundings changed then you wake up. It's like a safety feature. So I'd try to drop the paci.

We also had to stop swaddling recently when our daughter unexpectedly started rolling off her back onto her belly. It happened while we were on vacation so she ended up sleeping in our bed at least part of the night to keep her from rolling and waking up. She is also a flailer and would wake herself up sometimes. Just know it's all temporary and if you need a break it's ok to co sleep for a little bit if that's what he needs to get used to sleeping. It's been a few weeks now and my daughter is getting much better so hang in there

For the first time my baby went to sleep at 830 and woke up at 230am to eat then went right back to sleep. I have her a bath at 8 for the first time and she knocked right out after I fed her. I was so happy lol
