Do you plan on eating before going in to the hospital when you're in labor (time allowing)

Question

I know they don't let (or recommend) that you eat while in labor, but I've had a lot of people say that they did before going into the hospital. I don't want to be hangry and in pain. 😞

Eat beforehand and pack snacks. Your hubby/partner/support person can sneak you snacks. You'll definitely need to refuel. If you're a good-girl like me, there's no way I could've delivered my first...I'd have given up just for a Snickers lol. But seriously, healthy snacks that you enjoy and give you energy are perfect.

I went to zinburger and ate a burger shake and fries after my water broke and before I went in to the hospital ☺️

I would highly recommend eating something of substance that will give you the energy to labor. I brought nuts, pb&j sandwich, banana, and granola products for my meal which were easy on my stomach but gave me the energy i needed. And I needed my energy for the unmedicated intense 3 hours labor and pushing.

I will definitely be trying to have light snacks throughout bc it's going to be hard work getting this baby out and I know I'll need my strength 💪🏻

I dont really see myself eating a full meal, or even stopping for fast food once im on the way to the hospital (too much excitement) BUT, I do plan on picking up some snacks tomorrow, while grocery shopping, to put in my hospital bag.. i already dont eat much, but if i do get hungry, and im told no.. ill be Hangry lol.. so im going to pack myself a few granola bars, nuts, cookies.. etc.

I ate lightly through my first long labor. I didn't feel like eating much but I remember having yogurt, a smoothie, some oatmeal, I was drinking coconut water which is like natural Gatorade- good stuff. Honey sticks are something I'm going to have this time around. Some easy snacks to give u a boost of energy. Starving your body never seemed like a wise thing when you're working so hard

I won't be eating as I'm attempting a VBAC so could potentially need another c section.  That being said if that wasn't the case I would totally eat at least a light snack.

I had cereal (contractions where 8 minutes apart) and had a shower (contractions 6minutes apart) didn't leave till they where 2 minutes apart :/ haha but glad I ate as was starving after I gave birth xx

Where I'm from they recommend light snacking throughout labour as it's hard work and not eating isn't natural.... they caution heavy foods because some women get nausea during labour, or from the meds used if a csection is needed. 
We will have soup, clear juices, coconut water, dark chocolate, granola/trail mix, crackers, Popsicles, some fruit etc on hand for me to have whenever I need something :)
