newborn sizes???

How many of you had babies that were actually able to use newborn sizes? How long did they fit in the newborn size?

I also have a question, if my son is 13oz at 20 weeks, what does that say about him being born? I know he's about 3 oz over what he should be, but does that mean he won't fit in newborns and go straight to 0-3?

My daughter is in them still. At first they were a little loose on her but now newborn sizes fit perfectly. She was 7 lbs 9 oz at birth too and is now 1 month old & over 8 lbs 10 oz.

It depends on how often you do laundry. For me I do laundry 1-2 times a weeks so I would want at least 10 outfits(mostly sleepers) for the newborn phase. I also have onesies to put under, or to just throw on while we wait for laundry. 
My daughter hardly ever spit up so as an infant she was basically just in 1 outfit per day and if it was still clean she sometimes slept in it for the night too. Babies who spit up a lot might go through 3-5 outfits a day.

My daughter stayed in most newborn outfits for the first 3 months. She was quite small at 6lb 12oz and was slow to gain weight. All her newborn clothes were hanging off her at first nothing was small enough lol!

My daughter can still fit Carters and Garanimals Bodysuits in Size Newborn and she is 5 months. She is 24" and 13 pounds btw. So those weight recommendations aren't the most accurate. She wore footed sleepers in newborn till she was 3 months

Not very long! My son was 7lb 14oz. He was in newborn clothes for probably about a month. As cute as the clothes are, they grow out of them fast. Pays to stock up on 12 months and bigger

So I have a question about this too - I know not to buy many newborn outfits but I've actual realized we haven't got ANY! How many should we buy if we're eastimating baby will fit into them for 2-4 weeks? I have no idea how many are too many/too few!
