Thoughts about inducing?

My doctor a couple weeks ago asked if I planned on being induced. Of course it was out of No where question so I said no. I want my body to try to start labor naturally. But I've been thinking maybe I should be induced so my husband can be there with me. His job takes him hours away and im worried he won't be here on time. Any thought?

If you do anelective induction, you run more risks for u needing induction augmentation or emergency intervention. It's of course up to u, but I would do some serious research first.

If it meant my husband being able to see the birth of his child then yes I'd do it.

Idk why everyone thinks it's so darn awful. Sometimes you have to for medical reasons, and it's not always a horror story. If baby is developed all the way then who cares

I got induced with my first and it took 27 hours. I was miserable. I want to labor naturally. But I understand wanting your husband to he there as well. Just know it's not as smooth as going naturally for everyone. My body wasn't ready and your forcing it to be.

I was induced due to medical need. Seriously, if it's just for convenience I would not. Mine was 2.5 days of failure ended by emergency c section. You will labor for a while so your husband (assuming he doesn't have to fly home) should have time to get back.

If this was the case for me, I think my outlook on it would change. I would not want to deliver without my SO.

I didn't even know inducing was an option? No one has mentioned that to me! I'm a ftm, but have never heard anyone being induced out of choice x
