Is there anyone in your SO's family that you just don't like being around?

I personally try to avoid my boyfriends grandpa when I can. He isn't like a grumpy old man who doesn't know any better, he's just mean. He yells all the time. He's so intimidating and rude. One time he said I have big thighs! I was just minding my own business and out of no where he said I have big thighs. He always tells me to get up and do work around their house but honest to God anytime I make a mess I clean it up. Whenever he's home I just try to avoid him so I don't get yelled at or picked on. Dont get me wronf i dont hate the guy, but It makes me feel bad cause he is my bfs grandpa, but he's so mean and I'm so soft spoken it's not a good mix. Anyone else have someone in your SO's family you just don't really enjoy being around?

I often don't love being with my sister in law. She's spoiled and acts entitled. It was seriously like my in laws were different parents with her because she's awful and my husband obviously has his flaws but he's nothing like her. He's so humble and kind and giving of himself and his time to help people. But not her. Oh no. This chick is crazy and she throws absolute tantrums when she doesn't get her way. It's nauseating.

My husband's step-grandmother. She's mean spirited and racist. She doesn't like people unless she considers them attractive and "good enough" (well-employed/well-educated/well-bred). It's tough listening to her speak about current events and politics. I do my best to smile, nod, and keep my mouth shut. We only see her once or twice a year so it's tolerable.

Yes! My husband's step grandpa just makes me uncomfortable, like I don't want to be in the same room with him by myself. Also, his uncle's wife is just hateful like you describe your SO's grandpa. Loud and rude, just abrasive. And she likes to hug people and I don't care for physical affection so I like to keep a piece of furniture between me and her. I'm awful 🙈😂

My husbands Tio... He just DOES NOT know boundaries... I've caught him going through our trash to separate it (um that's personal stuff bro),he gets so close to me it's uncomfortable, he used to rub my belly and get his fave so close to my chest! So weird, he comes over when he pleases and even if I say the babies are sleeping he will still basically push his way in, he plays with my daughter when she's trying to nap, he brought all his stuff to our house to store then took over the front closet, and when I had my twins he showed up, hunted us down (we were in the NICU) and the nurses said he needed to leave because no one is allowed there without a code but he saw me and I felt obligated to allow him in, then I had to leave the hospital without my babies and a very sore c section incision and asked for a ride with us.. Like no, I wanna cry on the way home cuz I'm leaving my babies... When I was pregnant I was home alone and he banged on the door at 11pm then the next day did it again to ask if he could sleep in our car! He scared the shit out of me btw... The list goes on and on...

My boyfriends brother - he's the type to leer and just cause trouble on purpose knowing my partner will get blamed for retaliating (my partner has ADHD so he's easily angered and his brother plays on that to try make him look bad around me - super irritating) 
I also avoid one of his cousins like the plague after he stalked me at uni and secretly followed and tried to hit on me when my partner wasn't around... Pretty messed up :/
