How do I be more patient?

Ok so my boyfriend has already told me that he wants us to be engaged (and possibly married) before next year. He also asks me about the ring I want all the time. "So you want rose gold?" "Morganite or opal?" "What cut of morganite?" "What's your ring size?" "With diamond halo or without?" HOW DO I BE PATIENT?? Every little time he asks me to go out with him or do something I think "This is it omg" and then it's not. I also keep asking him to just tell me and he smiles and says "You will see love. Patience. I want it to be perfect." How though?? I want to be patient, but I am so excited to spend my life by his side and be able to say that I'm his wife.
