military daddy??

Question

Just found out last night that my bf will be going tdy when I'm at 37 weeks. For anyone who doesn't know what a tdy is, it's basically an "away meeting" so to speak. He's only going to be gone for a week but it just makes me nervous! Anybody else experiencing anything like this? Luckily, I have family in town so I've made arrangements in case they need to take me to the hospital but it's just something that I wasn't expecting so I'm nervous.

Just stay positive my first hubby was deployed started leave on the 18th of August due date was the 20th thankfully he made it home in time we were stationed in Germany. Our second he was gone from 36 weeks till a few days again before date thankful baby stayed put again. I feel if you don't get stressed out all will workout!! This is our 4th I remember with the 3rd water broke kept trying to call him and tell him and he didn't answer 2 hours later finally called back and rushed to the hospital!!

My husband is currently deployed. My due date is Dec 21st, was changed from Dec 14th after my first ultrasound. He will be allowed to return on Dec 14th (at 39 weeks). However, my first child was born at 37 weeks. I am pretty sure he will not make it for the birth of my baby. I live over 2,000 miles away from all my family. Luckily, my mother will fly in at the end of this month and will stay with me until the birth of my baby. I would try to have him where my family lives, but I can't have my 9-year old miss school for that long.

My husband has a Marine corps birthday ball exactly a week before my due date. Makes me nervous because it is 2 hours away. I'll be 39 weeks with baby number 2. He missed the second half of my pregnancy with our first, his birth, and the first 5 months of our son's life. 😕

My hubby is on TDY orders in Arizona and has been since I was about 18 weeks.  He decided to reclass and had to go back to IT school. He graduates the day before thanksgiving and after clearing at our old duty station he will hopefully be here very soon after our little girl is born.

My fiancé and I lived in Costa Rica the past 2 years. We decided to move to the states to have and raise our baby. I came back at the beginning of the third trimester, but we have to wait for him to get his fiancé visa before he can travel to the US. I'm 32 weeks now, and with any luck he'll make it for the birth, but we're both prepared for the possibility that he won't make it. Being on your own is scary, but you'll be fine. It helps to focus on the fact that as much as we all want the "ideal" pregnancy and delivery, in the end a healthy baby is all that matters. Parenthood will bring about a mountain of sacrifices that we'll have to make for the benefit of our child, so let the adjustment begin.
Try to view things as just what you have to do, and take the emotion out of it. Once your baby is here, it will all seem trivial in hindsight anyway. Enjoy what could be your last week alone ever! Hog the bed, use all the covers, watch chick flicks he'd hate, get in some girlfriend time, go shopping, finish the nursery, etc. Keep yourself busy and stay optimistic. Your baby could end up being 9 days late and you will have stressed for nothing. Good luck!

We got super lucky. We live and work in RI but my hubbys company is based in Wisconsin. Every December they have a huge meeting in wisconsin. My due date is 12/20 and meeting was scheduled 12/14 and 15. They canceled it for the first time in years so we lucked out. I think as long as you have a plan in place if needed you should be fine. Will he be able to come home ASAP if you do go into labor?
