How are you going to deal with it?

This is my second baby but my first time breastfeeding. How will you handle or avoid breastfeeding in public? I live in the USA and always see these shaming posts and how it's inappropriate. Blah blah blah...so I'm really scared I'll get too scared of it and just stay inside forever. Which isn't good for my depression or my 3yr old's energy.

I really don't care what people say. If I cannot find a place like a changing room (I will not feed my baby in a bathroom) or a private place I will feed my baby in public. My baby is more important than someone's comment about their own opinion.

I intend to breastfeed wherever I am! It is legal in the US to breastfeed in public with or without a cover. If someone has a problem with it, they can look away or whatever, stand a give me dirty looks if you want! Take pictures on your phone! Angrily talk to the manager! All of those reactions are other people taking out their psychological issues onto you, an innocent mother feeding her child in the most natural way possible. If I have to ruffle feathers wherever I go in order to keep my child fed and happy, then so be it.

Just use a cover people sexualize women too much in the USA. I know how you feel though kind of scared of the reactions myself but want to try to breastfeed my baby even though i had 2 and didnt i want to try this time.

Live in the US, and have breastfed both my boys. I find it's best to just do it. If you just feed them, and don't make a big deal about it, most likely no one else will.

I just do it and don't care what someone else thinks. I'm feeding my baby for goodness sake, not flaunting my boobs like everyone at the mall is doing. People need to get over it. Don't you dare go to a beach, you might see too much.

Just use a light cloth to cover yourself. You don't need to flap your boobs around everywhere - it can be done very discretely ☺️. I used to BF my son when out and about and people wouldn't even notice.

I breastfeed and bottle feed. When I'm out in public I like to use a bottle , not because of what other ppl would say about me breastfeeding in public but because I want to. But today I actually breastfeed in the backseat in the car until I got home because I didn't think I was going to be out for so long & forgot the bottle I heated up.

I'm 4.5 months pp and I e never been approached or heard people talking about me feeding my babay I guess I'm lucky. I hope I'm never put in that situation and let my anger get the best of me. Whoever says something negative is seriously ignorant and not worth my time.

I'm in the same boat, second baby first time breastfeeding. I've decided that after a month or so I'll start pumping so I can bring a bottle when we go out. My husband is worried about me getting into disagreements with people. I'm very supportive of public breastfeeding and I was taught at a young age there was nothing wrong with it but there are so many rude people out here I'd rather just avoid the drama.

I plan on getting a lightweight nursing cover, at the end of the day i don't care what people think of breastfeeding i just don't feel comfortable with how my boobs look lol especially with all these stretch marks all over them now. But if he doesn't like covers i'll get over it and just BF normally.
