What bank did you choose?

How did you find out what bank best worked with you? I'm 18 and I let my sister put her bills under my name and now I have some bad credit. I'm trying to fix it but I'm not sure on what to look for in a bank? Tips please? Any comments welcomed.

Local credit unions are best. Try to stay away from big name banks, Chase & Bank of America. It'd be best to make a budget & throw extra money at any debt you may have.

I still don't have a credit card, im 19 and have "fair" credit, all from paying off my car.

I chose a bank that's close to my house and has a lot of branches. Having a bank account won't help your credit though. Apply for pre-paid credit cards or a student card.
