I have the in law from hell
So my boyfriend was raised by his parents till about 11 years old then after his parents split so it was just him , his younger brother and mom till now. She babies him like crazy , it drives me nuts because she's accustomed him to her cooking and cleaning and making lunches every day. This women did a fine job raising him I will give her that he's very kind, hardworking and generous so kuddos to her BUT now that we are having our baby since it was unplanned pregnancy she has her days or acceptance and her days that she goes back to square one all regretful as if I raped him lol definetly not we've been dating for more then 3 years. Also keep in mind she didn't want to get to know me for the past 3 years, I saw her more frequently when me and my boyfriend were just friends then when we started going out. Anyways now she's becoming a monster in law she came over the other day to talk about my shower and the food and decorations that we'll all be making and then when my mom suggests what she is planning on making and buying this women(his mom) says " THATS NOTHING" I held my tongue and I was in shock how you going to come into my house And insult my moms efforts, then she suggested like 5 over the top dishes and then was expecting someone else to be paying for th ingredients since she says she's spent so much on the decorations maybe max $200. I was in like SHOCK I was like ain't gunna be me or my mom Ofcourse in my head and I looked at my boyfriend and he had to respond obviously. My mom has been very very generous with us she is renovating her basement so that we can stay there while I finish up my undergraduate degree and is letting us stay as long as we need to, we don't plan on abusing that because we also plan on saving what we can to have our own place. Am I overreacting ? This women is crazy to come and say that stuff in my own home and make me and my mom uncomfortable. I'm not crazy right anyone would have flipped out like me in this situation 😩😩😩
