Braxton Hicks?

Is this Braxton Hicks... my belly gets super tight and it hard to the touch and it is difficult to breathe.. they last about 30 seconds and it happened about 5 times in half an hour. I'm 35 weeks second baby.

Yes... But you shouldn't have that many... more than 4 in an hour needs to be checked out as could be a sign of pre-term labour so it's not worth the risk of leaving!

Having said that do get checked out but don't panic... it happens to me all the time I've been checked out and have an irritable uterus so it just contracts loads... has done since about 24 weeks... no worries!

I was told to call if more than 6 an hour to rest and drink lots of water

Yes it's normal!  If you have more than 8 an hour call your doctor but they will probably just give you an iv and send you home.  So make sure you're hydrated!

If you change position or activity (get up and walk if you are sitting or lie down if you are in your feet) and it goes away then yes, Braxton hicks. If they do not go away and certainly if they increase in strength and frequency and/or the tightness starts radiating from your back then those are real contractions.
