Okay so I just read a post about a guy who had herpes and didn't even know it. Well, usually when you get pregnant they check for STDS (if I'm understanding correctly) but in my state a female doesn't get to see a gynecologist until she is 21. (No Pap smears, etc.) but, is it just not required until you're 21? They did do a blood test to make sure I didn't have HIV (clear on that) but that post did worry me because I have had multiple sex partners. Can I request to get tested for STDS at my next OB visit? Or is it a law or something? I live in Kansas btw.
