anyone else experienced this?

Hiya ladies. Well I just hit 37 weeks (third baby) and Last night, or rather early this morning, I woke up with the most severe, sudden back ache I've ever experienced. Within the space of a minute I went from deeply sleeping to standing up and crying in agony. My husband jumped up, was rubbing my back hard trying to ease it, I was walking around trying to ease it but it was such agony I told hubby to call the midwives for advice but then within 10 minutes it had eased off as randomly as it started... now all day I've had a very light dull back ache but nothing anywhere near that 10 minutes of sudden agony so both hubby and I are feeling rather confused and shell shocked by the whole thing!  Anyone else been through something similar? .. TIA
