Am I on my way?

Yesterday, I had two mild practice contractions. I walked quite a bit and had Buffalo Wild Wings. By night time, I had a dull aching, similar to when you are first getting your period. I then got a headache and felt quite sick so I took a bath and went to bed after watching the baseball game. I woke up in the middle of the night with more discharge than normal. This morning I got up and I felt very wet so I went to the bathroom and wiped, a big glob (sorry) of clear to off white mucus (looked like a big blob of snot) was on the toilet paper. Now I have heavy period like cramping again. I'm wondering how long after these symptoms that women tend to go in labor on average. I'm freaking out! So scared. I'm afraid of the pain and I'm getting over a bad cold.
