Folic acid

Just wondering if you have low folic acid in your body can it cause early miscarriage?

Reason I'm asking, me and my partner have been trying for almost a year and currently lost 3 babies. 1 in January and twins in April. After multiple trips to the doctors they finally took a blood test and it showed my folic acid was low so prescribed me with some tablets which iv been taking now for about 3months. Last week I found out we r expecting.. want to be excited and over the moon but totally petrified. Only 5weeks and 1day. All miscarriages ended around 8weeks. Getting general symptoms like bloating, heartburn, a little tender breast and nausea which is making me feel abit more positive.
