Have any of you ladies experienced all over itchiness? Is it anything to worry about?

I had a friend start to get all over itchy during pregnancy. It's a medical condition (forgot the name of it) go tell your doctor asap so they can monitor it

It's normal for some women to experience that. It's from your skin stretching

Id tell doctor since id be worried about cholestatis. Some womans i think its liver starts working funny during pregnany and a symptom is major all over itching. Your doctor would need to moniter you more closely

I did and I scratched and got stretch marks everywhere 🙃 avoid scratching incase it's that.

My mom had this. Idk if its the same thing but she got it when she was pregnant w my sister just very itchy the doctor told her to take benadryl.

Talk to your doctor,  I was just diagnosed with cholestasis of pregnancy.  It causes itching all over and requires medication and extra care from your doctor

It could be a sign of cholestasis:

"Cholestasis means there is a reduced flow of bile down the bile ducts in the liver. Some bile then leaks out into the bloodstream, in particular the bile salts. These circulate in the bloodstream and can cause symptoms. Obstetric cholestasis is also called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy by some doctors."

My friend had it and had to be induced to have her baby early to prevent anything bad happening.

"Cholestasis of pregnancy occurs in late pregnancy and triggers intense itching, usually on the hands and feet but often on many other parts of the body.
Cholestasis of pregnancy can make you intensely uncomfortable but poses no long-term risk to an expectant mother. For a developing baby, however, cholestasis of pregnancy can be dangerous. Doctors usually recommend early delivery."
