What does your day look like with gestational diabetes?
My doctor: Take your blood sample when you wake up, an hour after you eat and then two hours after you eat. (That's once when I wake up, twice after every meal which adds up to 7 times)
The pharmacist: Take blood sample 3 times a day. (Which doesn't make sense... Shouldn't I take at least 4 samples? When I wake up (1), after I eat breakfast (2), after I eat lunch (3), and after I eat dinner (4).)
I'm going to call my doctor's office in the morning and ask to speak with a nurse about it but what do you ladies do? What advice do you have for me? I've never had to do anything like this before. I have the instructions on how to test my blood down pat, but I just am confused when I should test my blood.
