I have gestational diabetes

I just got my results back from my doctor and I have gestational diabetes. I'm a little upset but nothing I can do. I have to go to the Pharmacy and pick up my strips for my blood test. Any of you have GD? How are you doing it and what are you eating? I LOVE fruits and that's what I eat in the morning so now what do I do? Please help ladies! I hear bad stories of what can happen to me and my unborn baby!
