Have any of you ladies went in on a hunch? 😔

Okay, so I've never went to L&D for any other reason besides absolutely knowing I was in labor or scheduled induction. Contractions & even my water breaking. My last one I went to get induced and realized I was already midway through labor, just not feeling the contractions. I'm so confused on what to do....at 36wks I was told I was 1cm. 37 1/2wks I was told I am now a little more than 2cm, "softening up" & that the Dr could even feel his head, so he is already engaged. My past babies never made it past 39wks & when they came, it was always a short 4hrs. Well last night I had horrible, horrible back contractions and when I got up this morning I lost a huge chunk of my mucus plug. I went to school and had to leave early because I started getting very nauseous, light headed & was just feeling completely off. I keep getting little cramping, nothing consistent. I keep feeling pressure too. And I just came out of the restroom & lost more of my mucus plug. I just have this crazy feeling that I need to get ready and go to L & D. Have any of you ladies just had this hunch & just "know" that maybe you need to get checked out? And was right?
