The Big "I" Word
Induction was brought up today as I knew it would be. I'm 40+3 and attempting a vbac. At this point in time I've been contracting for 3 days of course it's stopped, but my cervix is not showing the progress other than maybe being 50% effaced and a fingertip dialted. I'm fully aware that this could change at any moment. On the other hand I'm also very aware that in the past I've never carried this long. Baby is still pretty far up and I'm also aware that he could engage at the beginning of labor. The last thing that was brought up was waiting and the chances of baby not tolerating labor after 41 weeks. I'm so at a loss. I want this to be a successful vbac, I want to be able to labor at home therefore no induction being necessary, yet I'm concerned about babys health. I know he's bigger than my last and will only get bigger as time goes on. I really don't know what to do but they want me to decide by 5 tomorrow and either come in Friday, Saturday or Monday to be induced.
I need some positive experiences to be shared.
