Google has been my best friend for the past several years. I've read and researched every possible reason why I wasn't able to conceive naturally. I took the extra step to see my ob/gyn last December. I had all the many tests that are usually done to check for infertility. My periods were always normal. I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. How frustrating. I thought I'd never get pregnant again. I kept telling myself that I should be happy that I have a 14 year old daughter. That mental speech never worked. My desire to give my only child a sibling and my new husband his first child made me grow more inpatient. Both my husband and I are 37 years old. My biological clock was ticking away. I sat down with my ob/gyn and asked her to please allow me to try 3 cycles of clomid before referring me to a fertility specialist. She agreed! I was thrilled at the possibility of clomid working for me. I read 100s of success stories of mothers conceiving on clomid after months and years of TTC. My period started September 22, 2016. I took clomid on CD 5-9. My OPK came back positive on CD 15. My BBT dipped on CD 16 and spiked up on CD 17 which was the day I ovulated. We BD on CD 10, 12, 14, 15, 17. My poor DH needed a break between my most fertile time, so we skipped CD 16. I was worried about skipping a day. Oh the dreaded TWW....isn't it a killer? lol. I started testing on 10dpo with wondfo hpts. I got what looked like an indent. I had to squint to see even the faintest of a pink line. You know how those line eyes can trick you? Of course I still thought I saw a line. 11dpo I tested again. Still had line eyes. haha. 12dpo I could see a faint pink line without squinting. My DH saw it, too. 😀 We had something starting. Yay! Today is 13dpo, and we did a first response. (The kind that read out, "yes+," or "No-"....) We waited and waited and waited....It felt like a million years....We got our "Yes+"!!!!!! 😆 Please pray for us that our little miracle sticks and stays strong.
