Induction question

I will be 40 weeks Saturday & am seriously considering asking my doctor if she will induce me. She had mentioned I would be induced anyways the 29th if nothing happened because she won't let me go past 41 weeks. I am seriously so uncomfortable & baby I believe is at a healthy weight so I'm wondering if she would consider it? Does anyone have any feedback? Anyone's Doctor consider it when you asked?
